One Completed Survey = One Meal to Feed the Hungry
How does a complete = a meal?
Our mission is to help end deaths from hunger and malnutrition globally.
We fulfill our mission by donating money to organizations like the World Food Programme and Action Against Hunger every time you, and thousands of others like you, complete one of our surveys. Through SaySo, thousands of surveys are completed daily, and that quickly adds up to hundreds of thousands of meals generated each quarter.
For every completed survey, we allocate a small donation, roughly equivalent to the cost of feeding someone one basic meal. Sure that doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you consider that we’re doing tens of thousands of surveys each month, that quickly adds up to a significant contribution.
Just $45 can save a child from deadly hunger. – Action Against Hunger
However, we must also be clear, while “meal” is a clear and concise representation of where our money is going, it’s more than just food on a plate that our charity partners are providing. Our donations also go to support small-scale farmers and livelihoods, emergency nutrition, infant and young child feeding, clean water and sanitation. As the saying goes: Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
Consider a few facts:
• 795 million people in the world do not have enough to eat.
• Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five – 3.1 million children each year.
• If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million.
• Hunger kills more people every year than AIDS, malaria & tuberculosis combined.
Where does the money go?
Thorough research into the organizations aligned with our corporate mission of ending global hunger brought us to two organizations we feel are doing the most good, and with the most efficiency – meaning that the highest % of the money donated is going to the actual cause and not to overhead and fundraising efforts.WFP pursues a vision of the world in which every man, woman and child has access at all times to the food needed for an active and healthy life.
Action Against Hunger provides lifesaving assistance and restores self-sufficiency to millions of people in over 40 countries.
Where does the money come from?
Brands and companies want to hear from you, and they’re willing to pay to be connected with opinionated individuals like yourself. When we successfully connect you with a survey, and you generously take the time to complete it, we take a portion of the amount we are paid and channel that money to nonprofit organizations doing the work we support. Sure that means lower margin and less profits for us, but we’re actually happier giving this money to good causes that are saving lives and we’ve found a way to make it work for everyone involved! We believe social-enterprise is the future of business.
